William Wordsworth was born on April 7, 1770. He gave me words to live by a long time ago when I first read his sonnet that begins: “The world is too much with us; late and soon,/ Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:/ Little we see in Nature that is ours….” I can’t recite the rest of the sonnet, but those first few lines are still with me.
